With an impressive resume that spans over 12 years, DJ 33 is your favorite DJ’s favorite DJ with a host of influences to include DJ Kid Capri, DJ Funkmaster Flex, DJ Clark Kent and more. This impressive repertoire of musical inspirations when coupled with today’s pop culture infused music creates a musical styling that transcends generations. DJ 33’s turntable panache has been embraced by the masses from coast to coast and internationally as well with fans and supporters being represented in a host of international markets from London to Japan.
With a successful career in the club scene, 33 1/3 didn’t want to stop there as he took his talents to the masses. DJ 33 1/3 began his radio career in Chicago as well and landed a mixing position on 107.5 WGCI. Remaining humble and hard at work, 33 1/3 was promoted to Mixshow Coordinator and soon become the Music Director. Hard work pays off and it shows as 33 1/3 can now be heard on the radio as a mixer / personality weekly from 10pm to 2am during "The Friday Night and Saturday Night Mixtape" heard in nearly 30 different markets including Chicago, Houston and Miami. He has also been featured on WUSL Power 99 (Philly), WJMN Jamn 99 (Boston), WJLB (Detroit), XM Channel 163 and Shade 45. Outside of the radio booth, DJ 33 is a renowned celebrity tour DJ. Some of the major event residencies include Nissan’s BET Experience, Former NBA Player and Host Kenny Smith’s Annual All Star Party and more. In addition to his current work as the official tour DJ of 2012 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Rakim, he has also DJ’ed for various athletes and musicians to include Ludacris, Common, Dwayne Wade, Nas, 50 Cent, Twista, Tamar Braxton, Jennifer Hudson, Kayla Briana and more. To round out his impressive resume, in 2014 DJ 33 1/3 was named Program Director of WMIB / 103.5 The Beat in Miami.
DJ 33 1/3's accomplishments in the music industry have not gone unnoticed, as he has accumulated various prestigious honors throughout his career including a nomination in the 2012 Global Spin Awards Breakthrough DJ of the Year award, nominated for 2014/2015/2016 National Mixshow DJ of the Year, as well as the winning the 2014 Global Spin Awards Midwest Mixshow DJ of the Year award. DJ 33 1/3 has taken the art of DJing and created a brand presence that is one to be rivaled. 33 1/3 can be heard daily mixing at 5pm on WIBB in Macon, GA and WZHT in Montgomery, AL and noon on WMIB in Miami, FL. As that brand continues to develop globally, the DJ 33 1/3 portfolio will grow to include a plethora of activations to include a mobile app, commercial DJ mixes and major corporate and consumer DJ events.
